Tailgating has typically been synonymous with alcohol consumption, but in the age of Cannabis legalization, that is changing. Cannabis is increasingly becoming more prominent in various facets of everyday life, and tailgating is no exception.
It is not without controversy, Cannabis being inherently controversial (if not by its very nature, by virtue of its “fuzzy,” if not “liquid” legal status). There are some who think it has no place in the lexicon of tailgating.
Not everyone takes exception to its use in stadium parking lots, though it is fair to mention that consumption in parking lots is still categorically illegal (not that illegality has ever stopped anyone from consuming in any number of public places).
